Annual Trust Music Festival Brings Together Students Across All Schools

More than 500 children and young people from across the Trust came together this week to take part in our annual music festival at the Civic Centre in Trowbridge. The event brought together pupils from both our primary and secondary schools for a day dedicated to celebrating music, creativity and collaboration.

Students had the opportunity to work with Kate Courage, an award-winning composer, conductor, musician and teacher, whose expertise and enthusiasm helped inspire and guide the young performers throughout the day. It was wonderful to see so many pupils enthusiastically engaged in singing and music-making, sharing their talents and learning from one another.

The festival concluded with a special concert featuring a range of performances. Individual schools showcased their work, demonstrating the dedication and musical achievements of their students, before coming together for a series of collaborative pieces performed by the entire Trust. The combined performances created a powerful and uplifting finale that reflected the spirit of unity across our schools.

It was truly inspiring to witness the enjoyment, confidence and musical ability displayed by all who took part. The event also provided a valuable opportunity for younger pupils to watch and learn from the older students, fostering aspiration and a shared sense of achievement.

The day was a wonderful celebration of music and creativity, and a powerful demonstration of the values of community, collaboration and opportunity that are at the heart of the EQUA Mead Learning Trust.
