Friendship, Resilience and Pride: Equa Mead Pupils Attend Festival of Friends
We are incredibly proud of our schools who recently attended the Festival of Friends in Winchester — a special event celebrating the strength, resilience, and unique experiences of being a military child.
The Festival of Friends programme brings together schools from across the region to recognise and support pupils from Armed Forces families. The initiative encourages schools to work collaboratively to raise awareness of service life and to strengthen the support available to military children in education.
Throughout the programme, participating schools share ideas and develop projects designed to help service children feel welcomed, supported and connected within their school communities.
During the day, children had the opportunity to take part in activities, and connect with peers from schools across the region, helping them build friendships and a sense of belonging within the wider military community.
Our children had a fantastic day. It was a memorable and meaningful experience for everyone who attended, and we are delighted that they were able to take part in such an inspiring celebration of our military community.
