The Mead Primary School Celebrates 25 Years!

Happy 25th Birthday, The Mead!

On Friday 25th September 2026, The Mead Primary School in Hilperton celebrated its 25th birthday with a wonderful day of celebrations, fun and memories.

To mark this special milestone, the school’s PTA, Friends of The Mead, officially opened the new play equipment, providing an exciting new space for the children to enjoy.

Every child made their own special ‘25’ crown to wear during the celebrations and was also given a ribbon badge to take home as a keepsake of this memorable moment in The Mead’s history.

The celebrations wouldn’t have been complete without birthday cake!  Mrs Davison created a wonderful cake featuring The Mead’s famous badger, while Mrs Hunter helped make more than 400 cupcakes for the children to enjoy.

It was a lovely day for the whole school community, filled with smiles, laughter and plenty of happy memories.

Here’s to 25 fantastic years of The Mead — and many more to come!
